Start the hike at the parking lot of Grand Dixence and ascend the steep zig-zag path overlooking the impressive dam and artificial lake. Once you have reached the top, take a walk on the dam itself and enjoy the view of the reservoir on one side and the valley on the other. Continue your hike in the direction of Cabane de Prafleuri. The path will lead you through a wild and rocky valley until you reach the mountain hut Cabane de Prafleuri. Prepare yourself for the last ascent until you reach Col des Roux. Admire the view on the biggest reservoir lake of Switzerland and the glaciers in the background. From now on, the path goes down until you reach the track along the lake which you can follow back to the dam.
