Check out the yellow signs at the train station in the direction of Granges-Marnand. The flat path takes you all along the river Broye. After a few kilometres, cross over the little suspension bridge and follow the signs to Villeneuve. In the middle of the village, a steep path takes you up the castle of Surpierre. Turn left at the church to go back in direction to Lucens. Instead of walking along the road take the path, which guides you over the fields via Praratoud to Cremin. From now on you can follow the signs back to Lucens, passing by its beautiful castle.
