This round trip takes you from a small idyllic village up to the Pizzo Leone from where you can enjoy beautiful views of the Lago Maggiore, Centovalli and Italy.

The hike starts in the small village of Rasa that you reach by cable car from Verdasio. Follow the signs to Pizzo Leano. You will reach the alp Monte, which consists of a few houses. Keep walking on this path until you reach the crossing. That is where the ascent starts through the forest. Admire the view from the summit! On one side, you’ll see the Lago Maggiore and on the other side, you’ll catch a glimpse of the Centovalli and the white peaks of the Alps. Go back to Rasa via Alpe Naccio and Monte.
