One-way hike vis-à-vis the majestics mountains of the Berner Oberland, including a historical train ride.

- Descending altitude: 1097m
Take the cable car from Grindelwald up to First and begin your hike by taking the ascending path in the direction of Bachalpsee. Once at the lake Bachalp, have a quick rest and enjoy the wonderful view on the Schreckhorn. The path continues on the other side of the lake. On your way up, you pass the two hiking marks Burgihütte and Gassenboden. Always follow the signs to Faulhorn. At the top of the Faulhorn, you will not only find the oldest Mountain Hotel in Switzerland (1830), but also a breathtaking 360° view. Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau on one side and the turquoise lakes of Thun and Brienz on the other side. What a spot for a picnic! Batteries recharged, continue your way down to Schyinge Platte by passing another Restaurant at Männdlenen. At some point you will have various paths with different levels of difficulty to end this hike at Schynige Platte.
