Take the cablecar from Leukerbad to Gemmi, where you can start your hike in the direction of Lämmerensee. Your path will take you to a junction. Go in the direction of ‘Lämmerenhütte Süd’ and follow the red-white hiking marks through the rugged plain. At the other end, chose between going up to the Lämmerenhütte or turn to your right, continue to Lämmerensee and on towards Daubensee. Walk along the lake until you reach the gravel road that will take you to Schwarenbach and eventually to Sunnbüehl where you can descend by cable car to Kandersteg.
Hint: Not challenging enough for you? Then walk up the steep and spectacular path along the cliff from Leukerbad to Gemmi. This will add two hours to your hike.
