Start your hike by crossing the big dam and continue your way along the barrier lake of Emosson. From far away you can already spot the second dam higher up in the valley. That is where you need to go next. Cross this dam as well and follow the small path to the very end of the lake Vieux d’Emosson. From there on, a zigzag path takes you up to the highest point of this trail. Enjoy the short section at the top of the crest before you start your descent into a narrow gorge. Continue in this direction and you will end up on the same path that you came from at lake Emosson.
