Your hike starts in St. Ursanne, take the little bridge to cross the Doubs river and follow the ascending path towards Montenol. Once you have passed the old farm houses of Montenol, the path descends before the last short ascent takes you to the little picnic area on the highest point of the hike. From now on, the path goes only downwards. Don’t miss the yellow sign pointing towards Tariche. Walk down through the forest, pass the Châtillon farm until you reach the Doubs river. Walk back to St. Ursanne all along the Doubs river. Enjoy a swim in the river on a hot summer day.

Hint: Visit the “Les Médiévales” festival in St. Ursanne that takes place every second year in July.
